I had this old heap sitting outside my shop for a year or so, a friend of mine decided he wanted it so here we go. I say old heap, a battery and some gas and it fired right up, drove it on the trailer. Here is what we started with...
It has it's share of rust, floorpans, some on the sides. A ton of bugger welds, someone elses bad ideas becoming my nightmare. It will serve a great purpose in it's second life.
sweet build.i need to come by and see it.im diggin all the welder names can i be i dont know how to weld and have no skill,no all stick with the recall kid.
I contemplated the Toy drivetrain into a Flatty as kind of retirement rig, but just can't get myself to shame the Willys that bad......( it is a cool build though )
Tub is now in it's new home, doing a little shop cleaning this morning then it's time for my favorite part, laying up the cage, more pics to come tonight.
enjoying the build so far and I'm a bit envious of the amount of room you have to work in that shop. I wish I had that kind of room when work begins on my TJ
Sweet ass cage :smokin: kinda-sorta what I'm thinking, narrow in the front to clear my windshield mech. then go wide at the back of the doors. Looks like your cage is the the same material as the chassis...right? Is that 2"?
