quickly put a 4" lift on it and DD it for a long time like this with 33"s
Did some moderate to mild wheeling every chance I got and 9 times out of 10 it seems like something was breaking.
Also painted it after a couple months of having it ... its pretty faded now but I think I like it more that way
lots of bolt on stuff ..
Jb gears in the furure just can't afford it at the moment
Stock yj springs SUA in the rear, I had the 4 inchers on for a while but it sat too high for my liking I've got pics of that also
3 link front with 14 inch travel KING remote res.
I wanted a high pinion front so I went with a 78 ,I had a 94 under it but it didn't fit between the framerails the way the 78 does ... funny story how I came about the 78 axle...
Learn something new every day didn't know you could choose which side drop you want when doing a replacement case from stak. Kool build you have going on
This is what kick started the build...
My girlfriend needed new tires for her jeep but couldnt afford them so I swapped my xterrains on her wranglerto save her some cash, she lucked out on that because she also got a full size spare
...about 2 weeks before this I bought some 39.5 IROKS of Dan (gokartergo) here on the board ... and I reeeeaaaaaaly wanted these on my jeep!
Good luck with the build, looks like you have a good start.
You may want to think about spending the money on a RAC. Think about flipping the 300 with a Down east kit and spend the rest of the money on a 4:1 kit. Stock gears suck on the trail.
thanks but I already bought the RAC
I did look into the DEO kit though, I didnt like how you have to buy an additional clocking ring to clock it flat
also got alot of mixed reports on flipping the d300
one of the first real mods I did was add a cage after a scary encounter at a buddys house
its a EOR cage kit (as seen on xtreme) that I changed up a little bit, I like it because it fits under my hardtop
I recently started adding onto it during the teardown when I was waiting on parts, Ive been wanting to redo the shoulder harness' the correct way for awhile now, also tie in the seat mounts and add some other stuff aswell
you can also see the crappy tires I took off my girlfriends jeep:laughing:
negative on the comp cut ive never been a fan of that
I did chop up the body though n order to fit 39.5's on stock yj leafs
yes on the tubefenders, I put some on a couple months back
ill try to get somewhat cought up tonite of where its at presently
my computers slow and its dial up:laughing:
I wanted to put the rear axle under first to keep me motivated. But first I had to do away with the old
I had a buddy "help" me wheel the 14 over and under, since hes a burly fawker "help" pretty much ment follow him and make sure it doesnt fall off the dolly... I had to get a picture
