I am new to this forum and have had no luck on others. I've been going through a 78 or 79 dana 44 ford f 250 8 lug frontend from hub to hub. Well I've mixed up which side this was for Part # 357d uf 8 0589-1 it is the outer part of caliper that holds 1 brake pad that has to be reused since they do not sell it.
Are you sure it makes a difference, between left and right? I am thinking if there is a difference it would only go together one way and if not it does not matter.
There is a difference the way the brake pad will set in from the top to the bottom, one has a angle and the other is a slotted groove for the pad to sit in. Other than that they are almost exactly the same.
