There are 2 info centers on ice house rd. the first one you get to should be open till 6. The second is the crystal basin info center they are open till 5 but if you go behind the info center there is a forest service fire station that is staffed untill 6. If you are going through south lake tahoe there is an info center and a station in myers. Just in case your buddy cant make the trip.
