The pics shown above are of Sunday Cruise, which is a fairly fun trail to check out articulation and such. There are some fun trails out there, but like stated previously, nothing to drive a long distance for. If it rains out there, everything gets really muddy and slick. There are a few good hills with some rocks out there, like DeWoody, but I would much rather travel to Clayton, Poteau, or Mason.

Its no rubicon, but it does have its moments. This one is of a humbled TJ owner after they got the thing back on all fours. The trail is Airstrip, brought to you by TAMOR...

Then there is Hal in the grocery getter, on another fun one, Dewoody...

Check out their web site:

Look for the BMRA stuff (Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area).

Go to my web page to see my pics. Its in the town of Gilmer. There are a lot of trails, a few that are getting pretty tough, but most are pretty mild, very fun place though. All the trails are marked with ratings and the such. I will probably go out there again sometime at the end of december or beginning of january. :D

it's fun nothing too challenging unless it starts raining then it can get a little challenging definately have to pull out the winch at some points because the clay and rocks gets very slippery. Here's a pic of my truck and here's a good website for some more pics. www.longhornoffroad.com

Probably the 3' ledge at the top, other than that, im not sure. But if he rolled on that seems he would have rolled a lot further and the jeep would bea lot more fawked up.

yeah if the top ledge is dug out and you are locked front and rear with a slinky suspension or if you are just locked in the rear you can pull yourself over backwards to the right at the last step. Buddy of mine almost did it about 6 months ago but managed to save it after a little drama. Also right there there is a little flat spot so if you roll over right you won't go to far but it looks like that jeep rolled into a tree and that's what I am guessing stopped him.

You get to this ledge:

And, considering all the stuff you've added to your TJ, decide that the skinny pedal is all you need to use.

That may be his buddy down at the bottom in the yellow TJ. WTF?

Dewoody Hill during the Jeep mating season!

It's a decent wheelin' spot. It's public owned land for one... so it's worth supporting Texas Motorized Trail Coalition. If you're like me, you can wheel out there then... unload the quad, dirt-bike, etc. and ride them as well. It's got some decent hill climbs and then some short fairly easy trails. It's a great place for the stock to moderate rig. Hard-core boys will get bored pretty quick. Say hi to Clyde.

Ben,

I heard about your incident from a certain TAMOR member who owns a green diamondplate wagon (or used to own one).

I beleive he said that you had put it on its side at first, but when you guys got it turned back over it took off down hill by itself and and hit a tree, narrowly missing a couple of other Land Rovers.

He also said you were on Spider Ravine.

Was that you?

Yeah I don't remember the trail. Yeah I laid it on it's side (truck was too fucking tall) and we got out and I thought I had left it in gear well turns out I didn't. KC asked me right before we righted it "did you put on the parking brake" I said I don't think so but it's in gear well turns out it wasn't in gear and took off down the hill by itself I was in front of it trying to stop it superman style. Luckily for me I got out of the way and it rammed into a tree pulled a 180 in the air and popped a bead. Surprisingly the aluminum body didn't get a single dent from that and all I got was a good scrape on my bumper. However the frame mount was trashed. We actually finished spider ravine with it broken (we actually didn't notice it was slammed back until we were about to get on the road back to Dallas) So that was interresting to say the least it's a long trip to dallas at 55. There were not any trucks in the way and the only person really in any danger when it took off was my dumbass in front of the truck. After that I tore off that suspension and built the one that I'm running now. Definately a learning experience I garentee I never get out of my truck again unless the parking brake is on. Also I'm auto tranny now so that should help ease my stupidity too. Still haven't found those pics but I have to say I was damn impressed that more didn't get fawked up I do wish we would have gotten it on video though that would have been killer!!!
