I'm heading to the Fordyce area next week for the first time in years. I haven't had the Jeep offroad in 4-5 years and there are lots of bugs to work out. Not sure I'll hit the trail or not.
But what's it like camping at Fordyce Lake these days? Campsites open? Any fees/restrictions? Can I still gather firewood....? :D

Open camping, pretty much the same. Take plenty of bug-spray, Paul!

Wow, Paul still has a rig?
I would make the extra drive Paul and go up to Meadow!

Why is that Keith? How much more time? Not sure the Jeep can make it that far. :flipoff2:

If you have not had the rig out in 4 to 5 years...I would be cautious...the trail is ruff right now.

the water will be deep too if you decide to get on the trail from fordyce lake. however the committee trail is plenty of work/fun right now for test and tune. it's entertaining for a few runs.

Thanks Phil, Keith. We'll be at Fordyce Lake for the weekend. Stop by and say hi if you're coming through or around.
Not going to run the trail, but will likely run down Committee to see how things work.
Paul
'Bout time you get out and about. :smokin:

the water is DOWN right now. not sure what the deal is but if it stays this way it'll be nice/potentially busy.

I've only been out once this year and that was to the Panamints at the begining of April. :(

Did you do any fishing up there? I've been thinking of taking the ole boat up there again.
