My family and I had a great time at this years sierra trek it was our 15th. Though the attendance was down-fun was had and the trail was as good (rough) as ever.

My dad always told me to not let anyone see you sweat, well Randii and his team never waivered, never let anyone see them sweat despite all that was overcome especially mother nature.

My thanks go out to all the individuals and groups that worked hard for Trek, and let me steer the ship while they all pulled together at the oars.

It always comes together because of hard working volunteers -- nobody could even THINK to do this alone. We planned for a good event and a bunch of contingencies in case things went sideways, and in the end, we had a GREAT event, even with some of those 'sideways' things like late winter, cooler-than-average summer, legal challenges with insurance and our food supplier, etc.

This event holds a very special place in my mind/heart, and I'm proud of what we all did together in 2011... I need to sleep some more and give the calculator a work out with Amy and Sherry to figure out the dollars, but I'm already looking forward to next year!
