This place is like 20 miles from me and I am pretty sure I have seen one of their rigs in the parking lot where I work. I think I am going to have to go see some of these things in person. I'm sure I couldn't afford any of them but great inspiration anyway.

Now these, are for a wealthy fellow . . . :flipoff2:
I'll take a used Gallardo & nice CTD with Camper for these prices
The spare tire mounts on the Fords are cleverly placed.

I would love to have this one for a retirement rig.

Is it just me, or is the ground clearance of the Pangea on last photo quite low? I'm looking at the cabin door and the long wheelbase.

Yes, but I think it's designed to stay on rough "roads", not really "off-road".

I've driven my van on "rough roads" that would have easily torn that step off the side compartment...

Encountering wash-outs on a regular would definately be an issue.

Nice rigs :D

How do you these spares down??

You would need a ladder to reach them! And then what do you do? Crane?

You unstrap it and throw it off onto the ground. And you just leave the original on the side of the road because you're too crazy rich to give a shit.:smokin:

EDIT: Actually next to the black strap holding the spare in place there looks to be a cable.... like a winch cable. So, yeah ... maybe a crane.

See the little arm above the one on the right? It swivels out and there is a winch attached to it to raise and lower them.

two spares at 300+ lbs each , a winch, a crane arm, a platform .... just imagine what that is doing to your C of G if its 8+ feet above the ground :shaking:

on the other hand the fords are very nice and quality seems to be very high :smokin:

I saw an F450 or F550 version a few months ago in person. Badass vehicles but after seeing it I did some research and they are not going to be anything I will be able to afford for a long time. Cool, but it would be funner to build your own anyway and a lot cheaper.

Hmm... I think one of their guys has a build thread for a large camper here

Caught up with this owner around here. There were wiring issues and every single window leaked badly, except for the cab windows. Not a lot of room for a 5 ton truck!

Having looked through a few of them in person, they are good from afar and far from good. Fit and finish sucks, design isn't any better. Good thing they look cool.

I agree 100%.

I did like the pintle hitch on the one I saw, as well as the Mercedes/Unimog"esqe" body mounting. I did think they did a great job on the body portion, with a lot of attention to detail in gusseting the body and they had some cool gadgets, but the owner I talked to said they were deeply dissapointed with theirs. I think a lot of that comes from the price point. If they were 50 grand cheaper a person might be more impressed. Also, what's up with the step that slides out from underneath the body that's 5' in the air?
