Okay, hopefully this post won't get deleted like the last.

I got a chance to grab a 1970 Mopar GTX 440/Hemi type Dana 60 SF complete. I do not know the axle width of one of these cars. Dodge calls it a "B-body", i.e. Roadrunner, GTX, etc. If it is close to the 53.6" width of a Scout II D44, I will buy it for my 800 thats running SII D44's.

If any of you guys have a Mopar B-Body, can you tell me what the axle (Flange to flange) width is.

Much Thanks.

Off the top of my head, I would go to EBAY & find one there & ask the seller to measure it for ya. Or call a race shop.

well, since Scout II D44 rears are 58" wide.... I would start with that.

Not sure on what the measurement of the B-body unit are... but you also need to make sure they are the same bolt pattern (5 on 5.5") as your scout, of your going to have to make the front match, or buy new shafts....

if you can get it for damn near nothing, GRAB IT, then sell it on E-bay to the mopar guys (seen those things go for good $$), then use that money as seed money to build/buy what you need for your Scout.

If you want to go wider there are the D60-2's out of heavy 1/2T IH PU's/T-alls, ~62" wide, or you can have one build for not *too* much $$, depending on how you do it...

What you got, and what you after???

Hey That will fit my 1969 Dodge Charger SE that i have been restoring since i was 16. If its reasonable including shipping i would love to have the chance to get it from you if you could get it for me.

Now to answer your question, there is our Club president that has one in his Scout 2 and it is even wider than a Scout 2 rear so that would be probley too wide for your Scout 800 as Scout 2 stuff is about 1.5" more per side than the 800 stuff.

So let me know what gear ratio and what you want for it and we could do forward air.

B body rears are about 63-64" WMS to WMS measured my 72 400 Crestwood wagon and are 5x4.5" bolt pattern, and a E body rear is about 61-62" WMS to WMS measuredand my 72 Rallye 340 Challenger they are also 5x4.5" bolt pattern, a A body is closer to a scout 2 width but the early ones are 5x4 bolt pattern and later are 5x4.5 bolt pattern, but the only A body with a 60 is a super stock dart or Barracuda (very rare, the B and e body 60's are more common but are still rare. If the B body 60 is a fair price i would get it and resale it to a Mopar guy and make a profit, they are pretty rare and worth quite a bit. Hope this helps

Thanks guys, sounds like the 5 x 4.5 and 60+ inch spread isn't what I want. Thanks for the help.
