Ok so i'v never wheeled in the sierras but have heard that you can camp at loon lake, problem there full so is there anywhere else that you can get a 5th wheel in and still be close to the trails Is anyone else going up and would welcome some newbees

its a fair commute from loon lake to the fordyce trail head. it can be measured in HOURS you might want to grab a map book and orient yourself with the Sierra Nevadas and the various USDA FS regions. there are quite a few spanning a great area.

try cisco campground on I80 for Fordyce for full hook ups.

for rubicon which is accessible through highway 50 plenty of forest service camping spots in the NF.... but you asked the question in the Fordyce forum and as i said there isnt an easy way from one to the other in a short period of time

Loon lake is at the rubicon trailhead from the Georgetown side, this is the Fordyce thread both are hours away from each other and two different trails. Post this up in the rubicon thread section.
