That 'stuff' is out there, search. It's the things that make Shaffers rig more competitive then others that are kept secret.

That info is out there from the old buggy, but I havent seen anything on the new one.

mike is just like most people and is willing to help people out. sitting around the camp fire he like to bench race just like you and i. he would probally discuss spring rate until you are so bored you fall asleep. but he still ain't gonna tell ya his winning combonation. nor should he.

of course rock crawlin is in a diffrent league than NHRA but the dedication it takes to win is the same no matter where you go. it take 100 percent blood sweat and tears. your a fool for thinkin otherwise.

i knew mike shaffer before he became a superstar - used to run the con, barret, and fordyce with him wheeling, welding, and drinking. i have not talked to him in a while- he is pretty busy nowdays running his business. i do remember a conversation i had with him before he built his first coil over buggy. he had phoned a fellow competetior to get some advice and tech on coils this person lives in calif. and is well known in the off- road community like mike he owns his own shop and is a very talented mechanic / fabricator. this person would not share info with mike- told him he can't give up info he is making a living with he is sorry he cant heip out. looks like things worked out for mike anyways .....................;)

I don't see Mike copying other peoples ideas, he is pretty much on the cutting edge. Anyone that wants to fault him trying to take maximum advantage of the fruits of his labor is a whiny little bitch?

LOL Man everyone has a little to say now huh! Let me say a few things here. The rig is still in the works. He's still working out the spacifics so really there's not a whole hell of a lot to tell. Lately he's been busting his ass so he can get customers shit out and make room for his shit. So truely he has very little time to sit her and list everything about his shit. When he is on PBB from what I've noticed he likes to read all of the stuff you guys right and spends a fair amount of time skimming the for sale section.

Yep true things have worked out despite the "other" persons attitude. However I have to fully disagree the Mike was and ever will be like this other person. Mike will tell you whoever what ever. Im sure there are some things all cometiors keep to themselves.....but I mean Mikes just ot one of these guys that keeps his rig locked way.

Let me give you guys a head start. I eill tell you all what I know. It will have wheels...Tires made of rubber, I belive it will be made of some sort of metal, oh and it has some sort of motor made for a 2005 what ever its called kind of car.

rocksie - my comment about what happened to mike involving the other shop owner was just a factual statment. i have known mike for a while and i already know he is not like the other guy. i never implied that in my post-mike and the other guy are both extremely talented mechanics my post was a thumbs up to mike it is always nice to get some tips and info when customing building something the first time it cuts down on redesign rework. it takes more effort,time,and skills without a baseline to start with. as mike well knows i am well aware of the problems that pop up when you custom design/build something. the other guy could have helped out a little out of professional courtesy.i think ego had something to do with it- to bad . mike overcame the odds anyways that says something about his skills and character- top notch !!!

100's over 80's- drag racing springs- the lightest that were made. I asked him and he told me. I had a video camera in my hand, though. That always makes it easier to get info.:flipoff2:
