No $hit dude, I just read this same post on ORC. I bought my used GRS2 around this time last year for around $800. At that time the 6:1's etc. had just came out & I ALMOST backed out of the deal beacuse I was afraid that this would happen within a year the GRS2 would get cheaper.

GRS2 gears used to be like sleeves welded onto cut down OEM
cores. Is Petro now making them from billets?

hot damn, and I just sold my GRS-II used for $800 last month, now I feel lucky.

I got a deal on Marlin's new 4.7 Total Spline gears and a 2nd gen MCO7 dual Toy t-case adapter, combo price $800, nets you a 10.7:1 low. Now they are advertising that same deal on their website, x-mas special, www.marlincrawler.com

Any ideas on the expiration date of this offer? I'm still saving the pennies and refuse to use plastic.

I bought my GRSII kit 3 years ago for 835.00 with a 60.00 Core charge
Wow! the prices have changed.

I skipped sending the core back, with shipping and all it wouldn't be worth it.

So I found an 84 case and made a rocklobster out of it, with help from Breeze Industries .
I thought I may need it if ever my GRSII went down, but not yet.

Thanks for the heads up Rockrat.:flipoff2:
