certain mid 90's rodeo's only, but it's not a standard D44 as i found out... still uses a regular D44 R&P and locker, but it uses different pinion bearing's and is a Crush Sleve style!, not to mention teh diff itself is standard, and the outer's and brakes are all metric... kinda a bastard in it's own... but it does still use the set10 bearing/seal kit like all rear D44's always have...

Dave you failed to mention the rear comes w/ disc brakes. Was the standard to metric brake line adapting a challenge? What is the wms to wms on those rodeos again? I thought it was 59.5 or 60.5. That would be a nice swap for my buddys sami. He wants d44s and I am trying to get him on the toy axle train.Anyway looks good and I hope you put one big heater in that bad boy. What ever became of the blue toy? Just retired it or made it into the local wheeler? Anyway see ya around and Andy give me a call some time.

Would be a bitch to have to carry a bunch of metric and imperial tools, thats my only beef with a 44 under a zook. Dunno bout those crush collars either, u thought of changin that to a shim setup ?

the "green" toy is in the garage, it's got a great heater :D this is a comp rig ;) yea i did forget the puny ass disc brakes it comes with! nope, no heater... hell it doesn't even have lights!

D44's are a much better swap to a sammi, the offset wagoneer rear axle keeps teh drive line perfect :D and i'm a little biassed to D44's because i really just hate toyota axles!

actually your a little off on your isuzu D44 info. All rodeos/amigos/rodeo sports came with the 44 rear starting in 98. They use a funky thick ring gear (4.10 or 4.30 depending on tranny) with the carrier for the higher gearsets ie you use the ARB for a 44 with 3.54 gears for your isuzu 4.10 gearset. Disks are standard on all of em, and the 98+ trucks came with a 4 link coil setup. oh and they have that spiffy finned aluminum cover :flipoff2:

I didn't say they didn't come in earlier rodeos, they did in certain years. but ALL rodeos and amigos now come with them since 98. Earlier rodeos with the GM 3.1 v6 also came with a GM 10 bolt. Before 98 all the amigos were built in Japan and came mostly with the isuzu 12 bolt, and a few 2wd with the isuzu 10 bolt.

ok, i noticed one other difference also, the 96 is only 59in wide, where as the 99 i wanted to get orgionally was 63.5in wide, must have been a body style change in there :D
