EasyXJ 12-12-2002, 08:09 AM Is that a VW bus grafted onto a mog? I could get into dumping a Westfalia on top of a mog and hitting the Rainbow gathrings and burning man and all that kinda junk:D

The VW is obvious. The front clip has me curious. I suspect its grafted to a little mog 411 something like that.
You'll have competition if you go to burning man. See the Music Mog in this post.

Roadkill150 12-12-2002, 03:42 PM Um.. Is it just me or does that Gwagen remind you guys of a semi-souped up Suzuki? narrow the front fender on a zuk rebadge the grill and we might have a match :p
Puffdragon 12-12-2002, 03:50 PM So Q, I am still ost, how is the G wagen better for a family than your old D-90. Wasent that the point of getting the G, or was it a disco Heck i cant keep up with you anymore. But it is a hell of alot better looking than a sami.
coachgeo 12-12-2002, 09:03 PM Below is the first Two unimogs I imported. The one on the right is mine and the other one went to Mike Paque in AZ. Both were rare French 404.0 Fire Truck Pump Tenders. HD suspensions, M130 2.8L engines, F64 Winch on one. Great offroad trucks when the rear tarp and frame was taken down.

unissamog 12-19-2002, 06:26 AM Admittedly it may only be 60% of a mog, but what is left is 100% mog. You have more mog there than I do.:D

Jon,
We have had a blast playing with this toy..When people ask what it is, and I tell them, they look at me in doubt.. I tell my buddies, that I promised my wife a 2 door Mercedes Convertible some day... Well, she's got one now...
At the Jamboree in Anderson, SC (Oct, '02). I met Sean Philyaw,James Treanor, and Patrick Harris. They gave me some helpful info about this Mog. One thing they decided was that it was a Belgian Ambulance.. Guess that's why its got no bed, has vacuum assist brakes and overload springs...Still looking for the "right" bed for this beast...
Hope you have a nice holiday season...

Hey man,
I am thinking of modifying my box too... I want to shorten my box 3' and lengthen my cab into a doka. Or I might sell the box to fund doka project and flatbed? It dosen't seem too hard to do. Soon as I get the funds.... it's on....
mike

coachgeo 03-10-2003, 08:16 PM If I was closer to you I would buy your box. I want one to cut up to use as a flat bed.
By the way... I like the little Red Cross you painted on the side of that radio box in the picture. :flipoff2:

Mike... ur taking 3 foot of box out right? is that enough for the Doka conversion you are considering. Talk to Rich at Mogml. He did a Doka conversion. He would know better how much additional cab you truely need?
10 foot to seven foot will suprise you on how much you "feel" you loose in the camper. It "sounds" like no big deal... just 3 feet but it "feels" like you lost lot more. Visit a camper sales place. Check out some tiny trailers. then a tinier one and/or a small truck bed camper. Thats what the change will feel like .
Put a big window and seats into the front of the Radio box and sit the extra foke back there with a speaker phone to the front. Hell the radio box will provide a safer area than a doka cab. That box seems like you could drob it off a cliff and if your buckled in you would survive.
Here is a pic of my 404-s

coachgeo 04-19-2003, 10:42 PM Nice Whitey THX. Looks SWEEEEEEET. What are the hood latches you fabbed up there? ahhh is that a G-Waggon in the background?
GollyGwagen 04-25-2003, 11:38 AM That would be a Land Rover Defender 90 in the background.
chevysunimog 04-26-2003, 09:59 PM the hood latches, one classic example between the german unimog(without) and older swiss( i think?) maybe french...
mike
chevysunimog 04-26-2003, 10:11 PM I scraped the project... no money.... no skills...
I traded my radiobox for a drop side bed with all the trimings. the new bed is alot better for what I will use it for. drop side bed for moving stuff or troop seats with tarp for the beach!!!!
born and raised in Florida....
mike
GollyGwagen 04-27-2003, 06:50 AM Well, I was supposed to go wheeling this weekend but apparently there is something wrong with my engine so I'm going to park it for a while. I did take it out for a few 'poser' shots and thought I would share.
