The TNF website is changing and I'm not sure I saw the most current info on fire restrictions. I could not find anything saying restrictions are in effect but I couldn't find the usual notice that says the are not in effect either. So I just wanted to post a reminder for everyone to be especially careful now since fire conditions are getting more critical. It's dry and there's a lot of fuel on the ground. It's getting windy and there are suppose to be thunderstorms coming.

I was told by a ENF ranger today that a logging company started a fire in the ENF and that he had just gotten back from suspending logging operations in his area.

BE CAREFUL! Keep your campfires small and under control and as always make sure they are dead out before leaving them.

I agree be extra careful this time of year!

I just called and they said there were no restrictions and they do not see any in the near future BUT that could change at any time. Please call before heading out to the trail.
