I am looking for a very small simple rear bench seat for theback of the tube project that I am working on. What has the narrowest seat? Samari? Jeep? Scout? School bus back seat? etc....

How about we break out the tape measures and see!! I need one about 30" overall wide. Any suggestions?

Talk to Beard. I know they make a 36" one but I would bet they can make one smaller...........for a price.

smallest they show is 34".

flatfender bench seats are pretty small but,i wouldn't want to sit on one for long.

my willys wagon has a 60/40 rear bench.if you could find one the larger side might work for you.

Flatfender rear seat is 36" just like all CJ's. Scout 2 is a bit wider

Tried a school bus seat in the back of my Jeep a few years back and it didn't fit. Don't have the measurement, but it's wider than a CJ seat.

If you can find one, check out the back seat from an Old Bronco. They are pretty darn narrow.

Got a hack saw and a welder? Narrow a school bus seat. :flipoff2:

That and measure a Amigo, tiny little thing.

A couple of dollars worth of small tube and expanded steel, some padding, a cheap seat cover, and some zip ties and you can have any seat size or shape you want... It is *not* that hard to do ;)

super easy to make a seat.

Plywood, foam, some sort of covering amd a staple gun. works great

If you need seating for only 1 person, how about an old low back CJ bucket seat on one side and a space for an ice chest next to it? I've seen it done and it works great!

I forgot all about that, used to have a forklift seat in the back when I only had one kid. Got it at Northern tool, damn thing is still cluttering up the shop. Another option might be a go-kart bench seat, those 2 person ones are pretty narrow.

Not sure but you might also want to look into a Bronco II not sure of the size but it might work.

ps: just looked at a tape mesure and DAMN you want a small seat, good luck I dont think the BII seat will fit then.

I have my 1Gen Amigo backseat sitting under my Samurai backseat. The Amigo seat is much larger. I've never stored the 2Gen backseat, but its even larger than the 1Gen.

Im still thinking the Sammi has the smallest seat, unless you can find a tracker rear or something.

Use the 60 of a 60/40 fullsize seat.
