:D

I have dibs, if I can get a shore pass from the Mrs!! ;)

My truck won't be ready since no significant work has been done since losing my garage in July. I just rolled the blasted/painted frame with SO back into the garage last week!! I won't be able to do any work on it until Jan though! And I'll probably want to rework my front SR spring hangers after seeing Brett's first hand!!

If I can get a couple days in late Feb, maybe I can jumpseat into DFW and ride down with you guys!! Of course my ticket to ride would be beers!!  :D

How far are you from Luxembourg?? I fly into LUX on Sat afternoon, and have to be in Frankfurt to fly out on Monday afternoon.

Sean,

I'm ~400kms from LUX, and probably won't be anywhere near this weekend. But I can hook you up with a guy from the french mailing-list who's in Luxembourg if you want to meet fellow cruiserheads from Europe. He's got a nice HDJ80, and has done quite a few expeditions in Eastern Europe IIRC.

Sean-
IF you're coming from Steamboat, you could catch a ride with a friend of mine. He's running a Land Rover D-90, but once he gets to Las Cruces He'll be jumping in with me. So, if you can catch an extra seat once there Im sure he wouldnt mind the company from steamboat to Las cruces. Just a thought.

I ended up runnign my rear heater in the front location in my rig. Hopefully it will be warm enough.

Suppose I should waste a bit more time and get my hard half doors functional???

Crusrdan,
I doubt we've met. I have only been wheeling out here a few times, and never in my Cruiser. It sucks I've owned the thing for 7 months and it hasn't touched dirt yet! But that will all change in February! Do you ever run Disney?

Hmmm, He's from Steamboat, and a D-90? There's only a handful in town!! What color/yr? Sounds like a good plan. I'll touch base with him. I may have my wife convinced to make the drive down stopping in Telluride, then Taos for some skiing and a visit to her cuz in Durango!

Check with your buddy!!

Nolen,

As long as I can get my sons a ride back from skiing she'll be with me.
Otherwise one of the boys will be with me and she will haul the other two back home.

Despite how it looks the tranny cooler is not set up to heat the cab..... That may change before Feb.

Gr8pumkin,

I'm going to disney tomorrow.....want to go? Extreme 4 wheeling is having a clean up day/ run
I'll get to disney a few times a year.

Sean,
My buddies name is Ashley and he just moved up there a few weeks ago. His D-90 is red and has a couple decent dents in the front fenders. He's easy to spot because of a custom front bumper and skidplate that has a big red transformer sticker on it. Not exactly sure where he works, but it's one of the restaurants at the bottom of the slopes (not slopeside). I am sure I'll talk to him today and find out what he says.

CrusrDan,
Man I'd love to go BUT because of the chile challenge I ahve to pull my 350 next weekend so that it can be rebuilt before feb. So, I have to set my garage up so I can do it as efficiently as possible. I've never pulled a motor before, so this should be interesting! Thanks for asking I'd like to take it uo there before I run Las Cruces though. Maybe in Jan.

For those who know the event... how "hard" is their hard trails? THey require 33" and 1 solid locker.... reading the description of those trails sounds like body damage is likely.

Ya, would like to try an "easy" Hard Trail (sounds like Dona Ana Mountains)... otherwise have some fun with the Moderate courses.

If I do this one... might be a solo run (hard to pull the kids out of school for a week).

Most of the issues are waterfalls that you can winch up without much trouble.

Tom, you have lockers and 35's don't ya?

You will be fine..

33's and one locker, body damage "is" possible from what I understand...
Steal Butch's stars and stripes and run that ;)
