Back in March of 2008, Pirate hosted a Johnson Valley Virtual Rally:

Ever since then, many people have been thinking of how to re-use that Rally to make a greater impact on our continued fight to Save Johnson Valley.
Kurt (Kurtuleas) and I were talking about making that thread into a banner; we both agreed that that would be a great idea! Now after 10-12 hours worth of work, I come up with a question?
What is 8" wide and 7,650" tall? A readable banner with all of the posts from that thread!! Well that's a bit unmanagable as a banner so what now?
Large format banner printing is billed by the square foot. In round numbers that's about 425 square feet; which equals a chunk of change to get printed.
Solution?
What I came up with is breaking the thread into 10 banner panels that would be about 4' x 12' each. With each panel being sponsored by a company or person. Costs are being worked out now.
What we want to do is have these banners available for display at events and shows; with SEMA being the first opportunity.
The artwork for the thread posts is done; the side panel art is still to de determined. My idea is a large ID panel on the left, a smaller piece of the left panel for Kurt to write a description of what this thing is all about and a sponsor panel on the right. So yeah, we are looking for sponsors to fund pieces of this thing.
