I am looking a building a hummer portaled hybrid axle. But I have some questions first.
One... I can't seem to find a supplyer for the hummer geared hubs. I read storys of how they are only $100 each, then how some guys say there is no market so they are worth more as scrap. EXT. Where can I find a set of four? I have a guy here local with 4 32spl... but I want the smaller 27 spl.
Second... Can someone give me the input shaft diameter, or tell me if the spline profile is the same as that of the TJ/XJ/YJ/JK/ZJ/MJ ext. Jeep outer stub shafts?

eBay usually has some. But those are military take offs usually and those are 12k hubs. 10k the smaller ones maybe harder to find. Needless to say the military take offs could be picked up for Fairly cheap.

$100 seems awful cheap but who knows? AMGeneral sells them but new they are really pricey. The above link might have some answers to your questions.

$100 seems extremely cheap.
A great price would be $250/ea for a complete unit. Fortunately in your case, you wouldn't need one with the CTIS spindle so you could get a HMMWV non-ctis geared hub and go with that.
I'd check a few military vehicle restoration sites from time to time [ie. g503 and steel soldiers] sometimes a set pops up for sale.
They are super heavy so you may need to have to have them shipped by freight, so factor that in. I"m guessing you'll be spending $1000-2000 for the hub set.

Updates?
I am getting ready to build a set of these axles, hummer 9" hybrid.
my question is why the smaller boxes? for weight or?
I have some stazworks C's and kingpins, but I am not sure about the threaded style kingpins, anyone have input on these? are they stout? do they hold up?
I was thinking about a TTB hummer hybrid but its alot of weight on the knuckle side.

I was wrong about price, I managed to find a set of 10K CTIS geared hubs in great shape for $75 each but that was a buddy deal from a guy who upgraded all of his hummers to Helical cut geared hubs from the Alpha trucks.

the Smaller spline was built for the 10,100 lb GVW hummer, these were used on most of the hummers built for civilans, the Military used the 12,100GVW on certain applications. the splines on the 10-1 hummer is 27, same as a gmc 1/2 ton, the spline on the 12-1 is 31,. I have not broken the 27 spline portion on any of my projects. I have broken axles, I have broken all of the ring gear bolts off the ring gear, I have ripped the entire axle and brake rotor off the car and not broken a 27 spline unit, I have a 750 HP 557 cubic inch big block behind these things and they run just fine. New units are around 850-950.oo bucks each. you can contact me if you like. 775-303-5998
