Thanks for all the replys to my original post. I did the search and found some really good information. Here's a little about my cruiser, its a 74 fj-40 that has a 350/TH350 conversion, Advance Adapters power steering conversion and is completely rewired with a Painless (and it wasn't) wiring kit, and a really cool Krylon OD Green paint job. It is currently running 38x14.5 TSL SX on 15x8 black rockcrawler rims, 4 in Skyjacker springs and a Landcruiser Advance Handling shackle reversal. Most of my wheeling is with my family on the local trails which involves a lot of mud. Future plans include 42" or 44" TSLs, a spring over, and those 60 axles I asked about.
Now I want some opinions from some people, tell me which you think is better outboarding the springs to fit the axles or redoing the perches and then doing the spring over.
I am a competent welder and an average fabricator, and the guy that is helping me is an awsome fabricator.
Thx in advance

Are you really seroius about using 42"+ tires with Landcruiser axles? TH350 and Landcruiser T-case as well? My opinion is that you're wasting your time and money with these compoments if you plan to run tires that large.

Better off just grinding the housing. I would not outboard the springs.

with the tires you plan on running you better never lockin the hubs or your front end will explode!!!

With grinding, more articulation but less lateral stability, with outboarding springs more stability at slightly compromised articulation that you can compensate for. Outboarding noly has to be done about an inch on each side. Personally I would outboard the springs. I've seen two different setups done this way and it looks great. Then you can also replace your ubolts. Does anyone who has their springs outboarded have a good pict?
