after a discussion in the Land Cruiser section I wanted to post here and ask about anti-inversion shackle installation. Heres a pic of the front shackle on my cruiser. Opinions appreciated:D

Part of my confusion comes from a tech article I have from Dec 2002 4wd & sport utility that shown a installation of this TPI kit on a 73 cruiser. In the magazine photos the front shackle is shown with the apex turned forward instead of towards the axle.

So which way is right:confused:

For anti-inversion the pic you posted is correct.

I think their might be a similar shackle used for tow-bars and that is used opposite of the way you have yours.

O.K. the photo that was screwing me up just got thrown away.

I called TPI about the pics from the install in the 4wd Mag. and TPI said DO NOT GO BY THOSE PHOTOS!!!

Yup, those would be towbar shackles.
