: JU'ish question, ZJ auto .

So my wife just called, said the auto is sliping real bad. Couldnt get over 40. was certain that she had it in drive :rolleyes:, fluid level looks ok and clean.

Any ideas?
Its a 94, 6 cyl,

please dont bash me to hard for thie JU'ish question. I just dont like them guys over there.

Yeah, my guess is front pump. We had my wifes tranny on her 96 go out bout a year or so ago because of that, was replaced completely under warranty.

edit: at least its a fricken drivetrain component. Not a bolt on lift kit, or a windshield washer

what exactly is ths "front Pump" that you speak of??:confused:

also she said it was kind of "twitchy" feeling. .lol

ugh.. i just know im gonna drive the 40 miles home so i can drive it and either its going to be fine for me, or i'll have to drive the 80 miles roundtrip back to town to get parts.. damnit.. i knew i shouldah stayed home today.

It's an internal part. not exactly road side servicable ;)

not gauranteein it'll work, but we once had a auto in a chevy work truck that you'd swear had a 3000 stall converter on it, and after adding Trans-X to it, it shifted great and didn't slip, i know its a "Bottle" fix, and it may not work, but maybe worth a try just to get it to either a shop or you place
