My goal is to fit both a rear winch and reciever hitch on my trail rig.

The #1 issue im having trouble with is fitting them both and still keeping a decent amount of clearance.

I know its a game of give and take with stuff like this, since ground clearance/departure angle is the most important I was considering just mounting one or the other.

Any one have any pics or tech on this.

Rig info may help a lot here. I have the set up your looking for, but it is probably not the same set up your rig may require.

A thought, I know it’s not what you asked for but it works really good for me.

I put my winch on a receiver mount and added a front / rear receiver bumper. I store my winch inside my trail vehicle and only have it out when I need it. I saved the cost of an extra winch, I didn't lose my approach angles and my winch is out of sight from thieves.

I have seen a few different ways to add a rear winch, but it defiantly is based off of what type of vehicle you have and what you are willing to sacrifice, spare tire area, Bed space or rear cargo space and some creative cutting.

The rig is an 82 cj7. These are the most recent pics of the rear.

The winch I want to mount is an older Ramsey 8000 that came with the jeep.

Thanks . . .

inverted and under the bed.

or just tie a reciever into the cage at the floor, then use that for storage and use when needed, you will just need to open the tail gate.

me personally, I ditched my rear winch. I did not use it enough to justify the weight and space of a full size winch back there.
