Here is what I might be getting and I have no use for it.... all in working good shape.

Complete 2f engine

1974 4 speed tranny

1974 tcase (4speedtype)

1974 complete rear axle

Basically it is a complete 74 minus the front axle, hood, fenders/firewall. (used the 74 to make a hybread chevy running gear with cruiser firewall  )

All I am interested in is the inner shafts of the axle and the third member.

Unless anyone around the area of WI wants to go in on it... :D

The 74 x-fer is the transition year. Lower gears than the regular 4-speed.
i might be interested in the 2F once I map where you're at.

If the 2F is really complete with smog and runs I say it is worth anywhere from $1000-$1500

Problem is, the 74 had an F engine which isn't worth hauling off. Not that it is not a good motor, just not worth anything.

That is the transition year on the transfer case that may have the 18% lower gears with the 4 speed input....

If that is the case it is worth around $300 and the tranny is a gimmie ($50-100)

Rear axle is worth $150 or so....

wngrog is right on with the price estimate.
One thing though, there are some folks out there that perfer a TLC 2F compaired to a V-8, I myself have had both, and they each have good points and bad points. It is expensive to overhaul a 2F, and parts for a 350 are cheap in comparision. Basically at the time you sell the stuff its woth whatever you can get out of it. Normally market prices are not extremely high for the 2F motors, I have had to give away these. Right now I am going to run a F motor until it blows, then I will go to a V-8.:skull:

You are not interested in the 2f for a 83 fj-60 located in your area, are you :D

I am located in central WI. Close to Wausau.

yes the 2f is complete with wiring and everything and it has suposedly 60,000 miles since it was rebuilt. If it was or not, is beyond me.

If anyone wants any of this stuff, make me an offer, I think either way I am gonna have to get it, since I am in need of the front shafts.

How do I tell on the T-case?

yeah, How'd you know. Actually, it's for one that's currently in the UP, but the owner lives here in town and he wants me to help puttin' it in. I haven't heard from the guy in a couple of months though, just collectin' information.

I don't think there's any differences in the cases of the x-fer, just the gears inside.

The front shafts are just course shaft's aren't they? seems like a lot of parts truck to get just for the shafts.

Yeah, it is alot of truck just for the inner's, but he won't just let the axle go, its kinda a everything or nothing type of deal. Trust me, if I could just get the axle I would. I am kinda in a pinch now where I need spare inners.

Yeap the birfs are the coarse spline, which I really have no use for. I run the mini truck disks/birfs on my fj.

Ballard, Is the FJ lite blue in color? I think the guy is now trying to sell it cause the engine is knocking.

I am gonna call and tell him, I will take it and pickup on saturday.

Like I said, I need spare inners and could use a spare diff.

Worse comes to worse and nothing sells, I will find a diff tub/firewall and make a buggy out or it since the frame is good. :D

I guess, if anyone wants anything off it or any of the parts shoot me a email or call me on prices, no resonable offer refused.

Kurt is more dead on with the prices.

rear axle is tight is worth $150 to the right person, but in all honesty that is going to be a slow item.

transition cases have only 1.99:1 gears nothing special. the input gear (coveted 29 tooth, 16 spline) which also drives 3sp t-case on a 4sp are worth some, but aftermarket new are $75. The only 4sp PTO gears I have seen are in transitional cases, $50 or more (3sp PTO gears are as common as worn out brake drums).

I had a transitional case for $225 and finally sold it by tossing in 2 other complete brittle 3sp cases. They are harder to sell.....

4sp trannys are worth nothing unless the output is in useable condition and no bad internals

Well

TT the guy who owns it and I am going to get it on saturday.

Anyone want to make offers on this stuff?

I am gonna write up a post and put it in the forsale section as well. Thanks.

Here is what I have. I have a ballpark figure of what some of the things are worth. Selling them for best offer

all items are from a 74 toyota fj-40, the main things that are gone are the d-shafts, firewall and vin #/fenders and front bib/front axle. Tub is shot

complete rear axle

4speed tranny and t-case

Complete, i.e. top to bottom 2f engine, suposedly rebuilt with 60000 miles

hardtop w/glass

steel doors

gastank

frame

springs, front and rear

Coarse spline brifs

Stock rear roll bar

Make offer on this stuff and help me move it. I don't really want it around or to have to sit on it
