So i am working on my buddy's trooper and it is not getting spark. So i replaced the coil and that didnt fix it so i decided it could be the ignition control module. I had him pick one up and i can not find the one on the vehicle. Every one that i have talked to says it is either "under the center consule" or "under the hood". I have looked every where and am having a hell of a time. I really want this thing off my trailer, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh and its a 1991 ls with the 2.6L 4 cylinder

Is it a small finned black box?the exciter?if so its under the intake maniflod mounted to the bottom,don't replace it to much of a pain in the ass just mount new one ontop of manifold and connect wire.
The only igntion parts I know of arethat,the dizzy and the ecm

The ecm should be under the center console. The ignition amplifier is under the intake. You never know its there until it fails and then you will never forget it.
