I have a 9 inch axle that I am trying to find the gear ratio on.. The tag has the following sequence of letters/numbers

WGB AB1 9AD

2 47 9 461B

Anybody have any Idea what they mean?? Which ones do you use for the axle ratio??

Pretty sure it's 2.47:1. Sorry dude.

Is this a car axle? The WGB AB1 part makes me think so, based on this page:
http://www.iit.edu/~petebre/maverick/FoMoCo_rear_ends.html

Look about half way down, under "Removable Carrier Axle-Ford Driving axle identification - Lincoln Continental and Continental Mark V"

Thanks cwate..according to that chart it appears to be from a Linclon and have 2.50 gears..guess I will need a new carrier but I can at least use the disc brake stuff..
