On my 1991 Montero LS 4x4, the cargo door(above rear bumper)is half working. The unlock works but not the lock. I might just have to take the dash aprat and investigate. Any one else have this problem?

when you push the switch....do you hear the clicking in the back?

Yes when I hit the unlock it clicks but when I push the lock it doesn't click.

Clean and lube the plunger mechanism inside the rear door, use contact cleaner inside the door lock switch.

well i would verify that it is sending a pulse to unlock it first. try hitting on the lock while someone pushes the button maybe. just a suggestion before you tear it all apart. :D
