Yes I searched and found nothing. I thought I remembered that someone made Eight lug to 5 on 5.5 lug adaptors. Does anyone know where to get these??

Thanks Nick

I used to work at M.O.R.E. and we made spacers. We couldn't do an 8 to 5 lug adaptor because of the center bore diameter. I'm guessing you want it for the front. You could possibily do a two peice unit for the rear but wouldn't work for the front.

I called MC Motorsports and they said they will not build them for me due to saftey reasons. They said they will be taking them off there web site asap.

Looks like I am off to the local machine shop.

Thats pretty lame on their part hah? Are you doing it to a DD? If not then, there shouldn't be any problems. I would never go from 8 to 5 personally, but thats just me...Good luck. At least you have a go-by

Is to remachine your existing stuff- due to overlap of patterns etc.- i did my own a few yrs ago. Unless you are running real expensive unique wheels it's cheaper to get new wheels. (about a grand to convert one axle seemed to be the going rate.)

or you could just by my jeep- comes with two five on 5.5 35 spline 60's already in it.:D

On this paticular rig I am running custom wheels that Avalanche made a while back. They already have a 2.5" backspace. So there will be no grinding. This is a trail only rig with full hydro steer and I am not to concerned about width on this one. I was looking into the adapters for the simple factor but that didn't happen so now I think I will have the hub, rotor redrilled and the hub turned down and just run the stock brakes. Ken I thought you sold the 7? Also are you saying that it cost you a grand to have the hubs, ect. redrilled? Besides I have a 35 spline 9" out back and I refuse to change it.

Thanks Nick

Nope, the 7 is still for sale- had a couple low ball offers but that's it. I'm waaaay to tight to spend a grand on something like that.

My rear 60 is a J20 60-2 hsg that came 5/5.5 semi float.

The front I had machined by a buddy who is talented and fast and charges me his hourly OT wage rather than a shop rate. Works out for both of us. I think I had 400 in it by the time i payed him, bought studs rotors calipers and fabbed some brackets.

No its not, man. The 60-2 came in pre 73 heavy duty half ton jeeps, either J2600, or I cant remember the heavy long bed version. They also came in a few ford half tons. The J20 didnt even exist until 1974, and all of them are 8lug.

D60-2 came in IH full size pick up and T-all and a heavy half upgrade. They were 5x5.5. and pre 73!

Try AIM - they were pretty good, killed me on the shipping but probably the way they make up for lower prices....

AIM wheel spacers 8 to 5 lug (http://www.truckn-store.com/product_category.asp?id=7)
