'01 F450, 4x2, PSD.. 40,000 miles, auto tranny, western-hauler style conversion.. It's got airbag rear suspension (full air ride), a nice pair of aftermarket leather buckets, rear bench that folds out to a bed (power fold out), and a cheesy between the seats & overhead console with CB.

The interior is kinda rough... the seats are showing more wear than I'd think with only 40k, and the plastic pedal of the gas pedal is broken (dealer will fix).. it just seems like it's got more miles than it does... it's got new front tires, and the rears are more than 1/2 worn... Aren't those 19.5's supposed to last near forever?

I think I coudl low-ball them hard, since it's the Ford Dealer... very specialized market for this type of truck, no?

There's a dealer in DFW that has a brand new loaded F450 XLT (could be a Lariat) with an OEM dually bed that they have listed currently for $34.9K. That's with all of the incentives included in the deal.

Also, in the area truck trader there is an 02 with 65K miles and a custom bed that looks like a fleetside but has various storage compartments built in. It looks very trick and is being listed right now at $32K.

Both of these trucks are pstroke, auto, and 4x2s.

Sounds like that truck that you are looking at was pushed really hard during its 40K miles.

Wow..i thought they would hold their value better than that... he had said $32k...

These are crew cabs you mentioned? That's vital.

Yep. Both crew. I'm looking at the actual ads now. The used one is a 2000 F550 Lariat, $34,500 obo.

The new one is a 02 F450 XLT with the 19" alloys and automatic for $34,997. It is at Texas Motors Ford in Ft. Worth. MSRP shows to be $46,840. This is one that I was/am interested in.

But, I'll probably keep the extra $7K in my pocket and get a 6.0 Chevy 2500 HD. Sounds crazy, huh?
