Hey can anyone recommend a small replacement turn signal for the front of my LandCruiser. I have been using some cheap parts house specials for years but now that I have found Pirate4x4 there bound to be something better out there.:D

I have just never quite liked the looks of these.

The stock ones, entire assembly, brand new only cost $13.99 from Specter:eek: I know, I was surprised too;)

Eric which one are they.
I assume they are the early 70s smaller fender mounts.
I also assume they are some non japanese import knockoffs.
I will check into them.

Hehe here is a my old factory chrome landcruiser bezel.
I hear these are kind of rare no?

The bezels that are rare are the ones that have Land Cruiser stamped into them across the top. I think they did that so jackasses wouldn't mount then upside down:D :D

They're the small round ones that go right where you're talking about;)

Go to the junk yard and get some thin ones of another vehical and flush mount them into the top front of the fenders. My brother did this and it came out real nice.

Like M-Dog said, get the OEM toyota ones that go right where the square ones you have are. Part number from specter:

150-01A $15.99 each from specter, OEM toyota light.

They are actually only 10.99 each from heartoftexasoffroad.com, call bib lights, early-'69...

I used a set of 1157 replacement LED bulbs I got off Ebay for like $15 for parking lights. They fit right into any 1157 socket and they are bright as hell. Let's put it this way, if I was a ricer behind me I'd be blind. Search on Ebay for 1157 LED and a bunch will pop up. You can get several colors, even amber. They're clear when they're off. Just another idea for you. Just don't use them in any application where they are mounted parallel with the lense, they won't make enought light. Mount them perpendicular to the lense and they'll be super bright.

I have seen those before but I thought they were only a parking light and not a turn signal. Will that unit do both?

Those are the parking lights, you can also get the factory turn signal assembies for the fenders. Are you trying to make the parking lamps into turn signals:confused:

Ideally I would like nothing on my fenders but if I had to go with any kind of fender mount lights I would go with the late 70s stock fendermounts.

Yes I am looking for something that is small and more flush with the bib that does both parking and turn signals. See thread title.:D

That link was good a few day's ago. Right now I'm getting a cannot be found. Hopefully it will come back up. It's a good write up on how to get them to work. Best way is to just use a heavy dudty electrong flasher like you would use when setting up for a trailer.
Anyway they make a nice small LED about 1.5 inches in daimeter that mounts flush. This guy used them for side marker. You could probably flush it under the head light and put a side one up next to the hood latch. Sweet thingabout them is if they do get hit they just pop out the back side and usualy don't get broke. Couple guys are running these in the club and liking them.

If I get LED turn signals, what kind of flasher do I need?

One easy solution I did for my 73' was picked up an early style grill with the turn signals mounted in it in stock form.
