I need some help IDing an axle to keep from driving 2 hours to look at what I imagine is probably a front D44.

1979 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. What are the chances that this has a front D60? Any chance?

The guy wants $125 for both axles, so if there is any chance that it is a 60 - I am there!

14bolt rear axle, d60 front in the one-ton only, probably has a 10 bolt in the front with 8 lug rotors, still not a bad price for the pair.

'79 3/4ton should have 10 bolt front,14 bolt rear.Should be FF in rear.$125 is a good price for these still.I just paid $200 for a D44 3/4 ton and FF 14 bolt.IF you want you could call the guy and see if the front has 4 u bolts or 3.A 60 will have 3,2 on the drivers side and 1 on the pass.The pass side will have 2 bolts threaded into the diff. instead of the u bolt.If it has 4:56 gears in the rear I would be interested in them if you part it out.Will probally be 3:73 or 4:10s though.Blazin:D
