: Is there anything like the CON on the east coast???
M3drake 12-29-2002, 11:24 AM Is there anything like the CON on the east coast??? I just got stationed at dover AFB in delaware and I used to live about 2 hrs from Rubicon and I have not found any trails out here that look very challenging. If any one knows of some good sites please let me know because I am dieing out here
rkcrawl 12-29-2002, 11:47 AM Nothing quite like the Con on the east coast. There is good east coast wheeling, but its probably all way more then 2 hours away.
Tellico in TN/NC, Paragon in PA.
Used to be some OK (not extreme) wheeling in George Washington National Forest in MD. There are some pretty active clubs up around there, that is probably your best bet to finding active local wheeling.
Note: It would be in Delaware, unless you want to go surf fishing, I think you can still go out on the sand in some places up there.
SMART ASS 12-29-2002, 12:59 PM NOPE  NOTHING LIKE IT
supersammymd 12-29-2002, 01:39 PM Paragon Adventure Park is a pretty cool place. it costs 35 bucks a pop to ride there plus $5 for each passenger. price is a little steep but when theres nowhere else to go you cant beat it. you need to have atleast 3 vehicles unless you go to the monthly ride on the first weekend of every month. then you get put in a group according to the difficulty of trails that you want to run. the Death Valley trail is pretty sick.the place is like 15000 acres
info here:www.paragonap.com
Tellico is pretty cool too,ive never been there but i have a couple videos of the place. its alot of muddy, rocky stuff

allright buttwad eat your words... i was on the con this summer, and it was funny everyone kept asking me do i run alot of mud back in Pa..i suppose i could highjack this thread and turn it into a east coast west coast thing but i wont waste my breath there is good wheeling here and there..but i suggest that u not ASSume things,, i just had to drive 3000 fawking miles across nebraska and nevada to what was so great about the con,, i had alot of fun and drank way too much jose quervo at rubicon springs the rest was blurr...
HAHAHAHA I laugh, the con is NOT hard. It's nowhere near the hardest on this coast. Maybe you shoulda gone to southern CA, or AZ or NM instead?
moveaside 12-29-2002, 08:05 PM It couldn't be all that bad I'm sure I could find something to play on out there on the East Coast. Fun is where you make it the Con is too freaking busy to be all out fun anyhow. The con is only as hard as the lines you choose anyhow. Calm down and fight the greenies guys not the brothen:flipoff2:

I wheel regularly at PAP and in Gore - very different kinds of trails, but both are lots of fun and present their own challenges. From the map it looks like you are about 3 hours from PAP and a little over that to Gore. GWNF is not challenging unless you have a open/open street vehicle (like my little Zuk in the GWNF pics), but it can make for a relaxing day in the woods. It looks to be about 4.5 hours from you and IMO, not worth the ride.
