Hey,
I may get up to Tahoe later in the week and I want a fun ride. I have only done the Flume trail and the Mt Rose downhills. Any suggestions?

The last time I was up there riding was back in 1993. There were plenty of trail maps available at the bike shops in S. Lake Tahoe. I remember some nice downhills up at the north end of the lake. It might be a bit late to ride the ski slopes though. They might be prepping them for snow if it hasn't already started up that way. I was going to tell you to check the webcams (http://www.skiheavenly.com/explore/webcams/) but they're down right now.

According to the Weather channel, it' still getting up into the high 50's, so perhaps the snow is a way off. But you can never tell up there. I've seen chain control over Donner Pass in June before.
