a bud has a 92 explorer with 4AOD auto in it and will not go into OD. I don't have a haynes manual on it but was wondering if anyone had heard of this problem and if there is a fix except dropping it and a rebuild?

Macgyver 11-06-2001, 07:12 AM he does not get neutral. it goes thru the first 3 gears and then just never shifts to o/d. i looked in a haynes manual and it doesn't address it. could you let me know how to check the solenoid and point me to its location on the tranny? thanks.
