north star fricken ROCKS!
I have been riding it for years and it gets better and more tech every year. and as of last year, they have cut some evil black diomond shit! total blast! just favor the top half of the mountain and work the upper lifts. the lower lift is way slow and thats where all the slow traffic is.

unlike most DH courses its tight and has mostly ST. courses like this reall help you dial in you tech and actually help your XC.

FUN FUN FUN <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce.gif" border="0">

Hey yo, Northstar is shweet, but Check out Downieville. Long climb up, but the dh is like 10 miles long or somethin like that. Totally nuts. Another cool trail up there is somethin called Mr. Toads wild ride. I haven't done it, but it's apparently 7+ miles of insane singletrack.

some resorts suck (squaw valley) but north star is definately one worth riding. I think most resorts want like $20 for an all day lift ticket.

Mr toads Kicks ass...

We (a group of 10 of us) hit MR toads on are way to north star every year..

This year, I suffered a pulled spoke thru my back rim, Several scraps and brusies and smashed clipless pedal on mr toads.

If you like technical Mr toads is for you.
