I don't like those packs on my back during hot summer rides so I use two large water bottles and that also keeps the weight low on the bike and not on you back

I'm still using my old camelbac ... I've looked at the Kona packs and they look pretty nice too...

I didn't know about them advertising with the SC. Seems rather conflictive considering they manufacture products for the military (who are definitely not on they're side.)

As far as alternatives, I've never used anything different. You might look at REI (http://www.rei.com) unless they're (still) supporting the SC.

i've got a blackburn pack. i can't remember the name of it, but it's the largest one. works good for school, rock climbing, hiking, biking, ect.. i believe it was on sale for like 75 bucks. kinda pricey but it has taken quite a beating.

I run a blackburn with dual blatters..

All the new hydration packs are able to take dual blatters.. I love freezing one and putting water in the other.. Works great for 4x trips as well.

I've long been against REI for their (and Disney) spearheading the Adventure Pass and the commercialization of our National Forests..

A few days back I wrote a few letters to Camelbak asking for their official position on the SC...I'll post it in the L/U section when/if I get a response..

For me I buy my stuff for quality no matter what the coporation supports..

Most of the stuff you read about camelbak is false and was hashed out here on the board sometime ago..

so if the Tali-ban makes a better quality pack than the Camelbak, you'll buy that?

We've got to take a stand somewhere...

anyways, tell me more about the dual bladder packs... are they just twice as wide, and able to fit the 2 bladders in one pouch? Do they have seperate feeds for each bladder, or one that is "t"ed off, or only one that has to be switched over once the first bladder is empty?

My dual blatter pack has two openings for two different outputs, and there inline so they sit right next to eachother with a removable center divider.. I dont run dual blatters on teh trail because it gets a bit heavy but when wheeling I freeze one fill the other..

On some of the dual blatterpack you only have one opening for the hose which kinda sucks..
