I will be there competing. Just wondering if there will be camping for other people how aren't in the event. And how much a camp spot will cost and the location of these spots. And I need to know if my spotter needs to be thered on friday for signins. He has to work on friday and wont be up there till friday night around 8pm.
Big Rich 11-06-2001, 01:40 PM Your spotter does not have to be there early on friday, and neither do you. But you do have to be there by 6am for the drivers meeting and tech, if your not there on friday....
Camping for spectators is available, but there are charges.
$18.00 per vehcicle, per night. I've got no control on those prices.
entry fee into the competition for non competitors is $10.00 per car and a 2 day pass at $15.00 per car. Anyone coming early will be asked to pay for saturday and sunday when they arrive.
They'll recieve a parking pass and tickets for the event.
Thanks

Dan-H 11-06-2001, 01:44 PM Is the 18.00 camping fee on top of the spectator vehicle entry fee?
RockRanger 11-06-2001, 01:56 PM Also what time does compitition start on Sat. Need to figure out how early i need to leave to get there.
Matt
Big Rich 11-06-2001, 02:36 PM Yes the camping fees and the spectator entry fees are two separate fees.
Thier fees a re noramlly $7.00 day use per vehicle (2 people) $1.00 per additional person, fishing $5.00 per person, RV site $23.00 per night, camping $18.00 per night, etc.

Big Rich 11-06-2001, 10:44 PM Competition start time will be 9am for both days. Yes we are still planning on the music and BBQ. and yes there is a charge for the BBQ nad no I don't know how much. That part is out of CalROCS control.

Big Rich 11-07-2001, 12:01 PM One other tidbit please don't try and trailer your rigs to the area if your a spectator, we really won't have the room to park if we allow trailers and such. the area is not open for general wheeling anyway.
Thanks
Rich Klein
RockRanger 11-07-2001, 04:49 PM One more question. What about parking for spectators. Will the parking lot be passable for small econo box cars or will we need something bigger to park there. I remeber seeing this concern on another thread about a compitition.
Matt
GRMhick 11-07-2001, 08:01 PM are we going to need reservations? If So i need to make mine quick.

Big Rich 11-07-2001, 10:47 PM No reservations needed and yes you caneven drive a low rider to the parking area just feet away from the competition site. So come one, come all. Can you say PARTY....

P.S. I'd like to thank each and everyone of the people that have wished for our success in starting is endeavor. THANKS
I was just noticing on the competitor list how many POR competitors there are. I hope for their sake none of them win the event because how is that going to look having POR co-host the event, then have one of them win. :rasta:
Rabbit 11-09-2001, 09:47 AM Regarding the competitor list, are those the numbers that are going to be on their rigs in the competition, so we can just reference to that list if we wanna know who's, who?
Rubicrawler 11-09-2001, 09:58 AM I can't tell from the maps on the site, is the event actually being held at Lake Amador? or a site in that general area?
Big Rich 11-09-2001, 10:10 AM Wait a minute....who said that POR was co-hosting this event. Bob is the competiton Marshall, so what......If he works on your rig does that make you a pirate, I think not.....as far as how many pirates are competing, remember their $200.00 is the same exact color as yours and If you think that this competition is going to be sided one way or the other, you'd had better call me direct so we can talk. I won't stand for remarks such as this, period. This competition is and will be a clean competition. The marquee sponsor is JP Off Road, and they have entered 3 vehicles, but they will not get any kind of special treatment form the judges of the marshalls........If anyone does not believe what I have just stated please call me directly....

Big Rich 11-09-2001, 02:29 PM Well now that I've take'n a walk around the block, I guess I can see the humor........I just want everyone to realize how serious I take am taking this event. I have invested everything in putting on this show and have made commitments to continue into next year with a 3 event schedule of rock crawling competitions, along with a couple of special (something new) events thrown in between.
