A buddy of mine is getting ready to swap an efi 302 out of a lincoln into a early bronco. Hes already got the motor out, the harness all marked and everything else. The only thing he isn't sure of is what kind of fuel pump he needs to run and where to put it. He had heard of using one of those frame mounted pumps, but someone said it had to be mounted below the tank. He would like to have it either in the tank or as high up as possible (this thing sees alot of water). Anybody have any ideas?

call tim at bronco Alley (310)-327-7475 he builds tanks for internal pumps, and can put a good skidplate on it too.

use the inline frame mounted pump. Get one from a ranger or fulsize ford or (Volkswagen or BMW or Porsche) These are all the same Bosch pumps and they are the best. The aftermarket ones don't last just go to a wrecking yard and get the bosch one. The pumps should not be mounted much above the bottom of the tank cause they will cavitate if they have to suck very much. If you need to mount it high you can use a pusher pump behind it a universal electric pump for a carburated car is fine for this. The pumps work fine under water.
