Anybody run them? Looks like an awfully tight tread pattern to me and I was wondering how they perform. Also, mighty cheap for a swamper. I dunno, I'd like to try them, but wanna hear some feedback first.

It's not designed to be like a TSL or bogger.

Direct quote from their website:

Throughout the years Interco has been engaged in the development of tires for the off road enthusiast who needed the best possible performance under the most severe off road conditions. The TrXus Mud Terrain is Interco's answer to the needs of those who do not require the maximum off road traction but want a superb tire with good looks. The TrXus Mud Terrain is at home in general utility service. It has a tighter tread pattern, multiple siping, sidewall protection features and a surprisingly quiet highway ride.

I added the highlighting. It's desinged to be a basic MT type tire that "looks good". Think BFG MT.

A tire that is not designed for serious offroad but for looks.........I can't believe that they actually put that in there website......:flipoff2:

It looks like a semi-decent AT in my opinion......tread is too tight to call it a MT so a decent AT would be a best guess.

IMO you can't go wrong with the MT/Rs and SSR's. I just picked up a set of PJ's a few months ago and like them to but if I had to do it again I think I would go back with my old MT/Rs or try out the SSRs.....always here great things about both.

Good luck brother.....

One of the guy's in my club has them. They wear rather quickly if you have a dd. The rubber is a lot softer than the BFG MT's which they look like.

We gave a small size set away at our last event. the rubber is way soft...softer than ssr..good grip but i would guess no wear life...the treads are real tight....they claim to have or will have them up to 39.5.....of course that could have changed

I have them on my daily driver (235/85-16) and they were 62.00 less per tire ! So that was a 310.00 savings over BFG MT's!

I will have the truck at CALrocks if you want to see them. It will be in the parking lot not on the trail

my buddy has them on his z71 and likes them a lot, mainly cause of the price. he also has a set of thornbirds(   ) and they perform about the same but wear a LOT better. i would classify the Trex as a good looking, quick wearing a/t. i think he is going to get about 25k out of his(the 285's). so, if you compar prices, they might be cheaper in the beggining, but you'll be buying a new set in about half the time.

if you like that style thouhg, have you looked at the new Trex A/T. it's on interco's website. one strang looking tire.

p.s.- be warned about the SSR's. one of mine on my Bronco just about blew up on my. it wasn't real pretty.

these were originally designed as a heavy duty tire, for 3/4 ton and 1 ton work trucks that have to pull equipment laden trailers out of muddy construction zones. also for tow rigs that see some highway miles. MANY people bought them when they were half price during thier initial rollout... its a tire not designed for the off road enthusiast, but for someone who must WORK off road.
