When I swapped in my D60 with sway a way coilovers I had to cut out most of the crossmember that went under neath the oilpan to allow for uptravel. Now I need to brace the frame to keep it from flexing too much. I'm going to put it just in front of the engine, but not sure what to make it out of. I was thinking maybe a piece of 4" angle iron, .25" thick and weld it to the frame rails. Any suggestions? This is on a 94 Bronco by the way. Thanks:confused:

I dont think I would trust the angle iron. Go with box tubing instead:usa:

Yeah I could do box tubing, I've got some 4"x4"x.25 laying around but that seems like overkill. Maybe some 1.5 square tubing X braced and also welded together in the middle where they cross. How does that sound? Thanks

I dont belive in over kill. Do it rite the first time and never do it again. The 4x4 does sound a little big, You mite try to find some 2x4 or 2x2. If you cant find any other metal and you got room and clearance use the 4x4, I know I have used some on my old willys:usa:
