A person here in CO is selling a 110 60-80 amp buzz box. What the hell would you use that for?

The output is appropriate for 1/16 inch rods, so you could weld sheet metal (with a lot of practice) to about 3/16 steel in a single pass. 1/16 inch electrodes are a little hard to find though. 220V buzz boxes are cheap, so the only reason to consider a 110 v one would be if you don't have 220V power.

My garage is "voltagely challenged", but I have a lincoln 3200 that works just fine for what I do. I was just curious as I have never SEEN a 110 stick welder. Might be cool for hobby/art stuff though. It's only 50 bucks.

I've got a 'infinite' (20-100) amp 110 craftsman stick welder that I use for small jobs...

I borrowed one for a while to sort of learn how to stick weld, I used it for lots of things, I fixed the patio furniture, welded alot of 1/8" wall tubeing together, its great for small stuff, and a really cheap way to get some practise.
