Got the motor out of the grand waggy today. Was looking at the backs of both motors and the original has three (3) freeze plugs and two oil galleys while the replacement has only one freeze plug and two oil galleys. Are there any problems with this? Did they vary from year to year?

I have worked with several AMC's 258 thru 401 and seems like they always had different things done to them but all minor stuff. As long as the side of the block says 360 it will be the same. Just your typical AMC shiat.

When i took the manifold off yesterday it had a broken pushrod. The motor was obviously recently overhauled because everything looked new. Still had the yellow paint where he marked the rocker bolts. The cam was fairly new if not brand new and i bought it from j20mark and he said it worked. The biggest concern came today when i gave the motor its final inspection. There are two hairline cracks in the block. Both are on the passenger side of the block and appear to be about where the head bolts thread down. The cracks are only about 3/4" long so i was going to use some block seal of some kind because it didnt look like where it was cracked was a big deal. Thoughts?

Bad karma happens to those who screw other people.
I am still screwin around with those axels I got from you:flipoff:
Getting ready to put the rear in, I noticed play in the drivers side shaft. There was 35 thousandths play in it. When I pulled the shaft out it was full of rocks. Then The spare shafts you sent are not spares. They are two inches long.
