Those are GOOD prices. I have those belts now and love them. Push button is much better than clasp IMO.

What are the advantanges/disadvantages to 4pt over 3pt. What is preferred?

Haven't got my seats yet so i haven't looked into belts. What is the snap in style?

RudeZuk: Till everyone on POR gets their belts! (awhile:D )

LiquidKool: The Snap in are like a dog leash. The kit includes grade 8 eyebolts and hardware to go through a plate or snap into a welded ring in a cage. The bolt ins usually go into existing mounting holes or bolted to tabs welded on the cage. As for advantages, it depends on space, preference and seats. The 3pt is more user friendly to use with seats that DO NOT have cutout provisions for over the shoulder belts, as they tend to self center themselves when pulled.....the 4 points tend to flop down if not restrained by the seats(IMO). Hope this helps out!

You must be one of the lucky one not to have the sniffer test we have it here in Dayton.

How long would it take to get these? If I order them could I have them at my door the same week? I will prolly need some seatbelts before UROC in Feb, and i would be seriously screwwed if they didn't come in time.

Well, you better call me this weekend huh? That way you can have them by friday!:D

Considering only half the counties in OH do the Echeck and none do inspections, I'd say it wouldn't matter anyhow. Gper, you should come by my shop some time and we'll swap war stories. I'm at 9600 Byers Rd out in the barn.

TJfan, have you seen the 3 point style that has the seatbelt reel so you can actually move around in your seat until you get into a hard hit? I believe it's Corbeau that has them, can't remember right now. If you get those and put them up for sale, count me in.

Are the seats still on sale too? Going to be adding seat mounts to my cage soon and think I may go on and take the plunge for the seats and harnesses to go with them.

I thought you needed the submarine belt? Those are good prices but are they as safe as 5 point harnesses and why would you rather have these? has anyone ever rolled with just the 4 point or got into an accident with the 4 point, I know most people just have a lap belt or 3 point but I was just wondering.

I've got these on my buggy and do like them. If you look at the pics though the 3 point (and likely the 4 point too) are designed to fasten 2' or so away from the point where thy exit the seat behind your shoulders rather than to the normal tab on the cage right behind the seat.

There is no provision for adjustment so your tab has to be in the next zip code or you have to get the belt cut and resewn.

Not trying to slam these guys (aside from the modeling oversight) nor do I offer a competing product. It just caught me off guard when I went to install them a few days before the maiden voyage. Just a heads up so you are prepared to deal with it.

The normal type buckle is great.

Now where's the pics?:D

I'm debating on 3pt vs 4pt. It seems like 3pt would get annoying on the back of my neck.. I just got a set of plastic racing seats (RCI I think), and they have the hole in back for the 3pt.

How comfy are the 3 pt?

Here's the project I'm putting them in. http://www.broncomarc.com/bronco/10days.html I better order these quick if I'm going to have this thing on the trail this coming weekend.

The seat belts that are very smlar that toggotties has are plastic,,, belt buckle/clamp. Do these belts have a platstic buckle or are they metal?

Do the buckles release easily with weight on them....ie suspended upside down? I got trapped under water this winter, so it is a very fair question in my opinion.

Do they have enough give/adjustment for a wide body person???

How are they for street use as well as offroad??

I just ordered a pair, and I am stoked because of the auto style buckle. The straps in my helo are the more traditional racing/aircraft style, and I can tell you they get to be a pita - even the camlock style.

There will be a writeup to follow installation - I'll try and get the Wolf on it's lid so I can answer questions about weight on the straps :flipoff2: We'll also see how my little guy does behind them in his booster seat too.

IMO they have more than enough adjustment for a wide person. I'm a skinny person and they're far too large. I guess I'll have to do like Ken (GO2GUY) did and have someone cut and re-sew them.

No kidding!

Some of those new Corbeau seats are gorgeous, and another nice thing about the 3 point harness, is that the shoulder straps can be undone and threaded to make use of the dual slot style seats.

TJFan - I've got an existing RCI Y-harness very similar to these and love it....except the tab for the Y mouting is not a clip-style like that shown in Image 1....

is that a part that's available separately?? With my travelling seat-cover design, it's a PITA to unbolt that mount every time...

thanks!

(and no, I'm not ordering until next week...hehehe)

Got mine in a week or so ago, and they look great. Will get the first wheeling trip this weekend :D

I was pleasently surprized at the ease of installation. On an 85 4runner they just bolt in. The sholder belt extends perfect to the rear roll bar and again it was a bolt in. Very nice, Thanks Larry
