I'm not ashamed to say my F150 isn't as hardcore as most of your rigs. It's been a daily driver until very recently.

No worries man. I have one too. Just mines not in as good of shape.

i decided to lower it. :flipoff2:

But really, no, its a different truck. The old one you are thinking of is right behind it. Check out my build up in my sig. Basically, i found a V8, auto, a/c, and low mileage truck. Started over, but im going bigger this time. :smokin:

the old one was getting... well old.

One tons are coming soon. Saving up right now for springs and heims. :smokin:

Thanks,

I made the f-1 4x4 using a bunch of differnt parts. the frame and suspension is stock.

here is a link to some pics and info on it.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=724306

I am running a stock 302 in the bronco. The rad is moved to the back because the body is so hammered and rusted I would be busting the radiator every time I take it out. I picked up another 76 bronco that has a full james duff suspension but is also hammered. I plan on combining the 2 into good offroad rig once my next project in line is done or at leas underway.

You will Like having an f-350 I love mine, it is a trailer special with the big sway bars, it tows great.

so stepside - does it leak brake fluid ??? :D and you go through rigs like me

Still haven't bled the brakes, finished the track bar mounting shit, or moved the 1 front shock to the radius arm (WTF did ford do that anyway?)

This is like my 11th truck and I'm only 20. Ironically I still have my 94 wich was my first rig

Yea, been sober completely for 2 months and havn't been tanked in like 6 months......Joined an alcoholics support group....(Not AA....too much churchy influence in theirs).....but i joined one and it's been good....

A few, (2 or 3) for a guy who is 6'1 and 210 Lbs over the course of 2 hours is a HUGE difference than 20 or so, over the course of 3 hours as in my situation. Trust me man, I learned, but I really don't need to hear lecturing and over dramatic, worst case scenarios told to me yet again. I have had waaaay more than enough of that. I'm sorry if someone you know died or was injured as a result of a drunk driver. I lost one of my best friends due to that. It sucks. But you just can't take it out on everyone who has in their past had something to drink and driven, especially if they HAVE learned their lesson.

As much of a dick as I am, I'm not trying to come of as one. Just trying to let you know that from a recovering alcoholics standpoint, none of us need to hear any lecturing and have fingers pointed at us. I fucked up, I suffered the consequences, the blaming, the loss of self trust, the embaressment, etc.

Not a day goes by that I don't thank whoever it is up above that I didn't kill or injure anyone that night. Not a fucking day.

Just kinda sucks though that no matter what, people are always going to lecture and blame guys like me. I have been on the other side of the tracks, as hard as it is to believe coming from me, a 23 year old, and believe me, it sucks.

i was not pointing fingers and in any way trying to lecture you, i was just tossing something out there for others to hopefully read and relise that it isnt always a good idea to drive after drinking. god knows most younger people do and they just dont realize the damage it can cause.

This is my new daily driver that I picked up yesterday... 132K, 351, and I have EVERY piece of paperwork for any and all repairs and maintenence back to the day of its original purchase... including the original window sticker and all paperwork for every bit of factory warranty work ever done to it. Best I can tell from data on-line, it has EVERY option available for a 95 Bronco. Only thing that doesn't work is the fuel guage... I am guessing the sending unit?

I need a new set of 31's for her, and I would like to go with a single 3" exhaust thru a Magnaflow, and polish the wheels and fix the fuel guage and she is dy-no-mite!

this is my new project bronco! i'm new here to pirate, but pretty familiar over at FSB. this is my '79 XLT Ranger, with a 351m and a posi 9". it's all stock... but not for long! got a new set of 35" KM2s waiting to be put on. the build is going to be for the most part era specific, with turbine rims and other old school late 70s goodies :D

Yes I know, but the rig is more important than the trailer :) The trailer is strong enough it just need some adjustments

You are not smart, are you? You do realize the rig is ON the trailer don't you? What happens when the trailer folds up driving down the road? Yup, you lose the rig, the trailer, the cherokee, and who/whatever else is in the sorrounding area. Thankfully you don't live anywhere around me

The front part is straight, this is the rear part that make it seem bowing down, there is 6 C Channel and 6x4 Steel tube all under the trailer, so i don't think that i'm so crazy to drive with a trailer that seem to dont be straight. It was 10 000lbs axles (2) on it before i change it. But you probably know this better than me

I'm diggin the wood ramps with jackstands supporting them. Not to mention the jack under the trailer to keep it from bending even more while loading it.

The leafs on the back of the explorer are going to bend and/or break too.

I actualy like your Explorer...

The trailer & tow rig arnt up to snuff in my opinion...

The "10 000lbs axles (2) on it before i change it." may have been good but the rest of the trailer isnt built to that strength

ThunderExplorer

I know that the setup isn't perfect, it was only to move the truck from the garage to my house, it need some upgrade. And for the guy who say that it not strong enough to haul more than 10 000lbs, the trailer was used to haul a tractor before that i use it to haul the Explorer...

Oh, And not strong enough you said? Can you tell me the maximum load for a frame made from 6 C Channel 3'' With a crossmember every 16 inches, with a 3/16 steel plate on top, and 8 2x10x16' wood over the steel floor?

But it sure that you know this better than me, this is not strong....! lol

Anyway, end of the discussion.

OBVIOUSLY NOT ENOUGH TO HAUL YOUR EXPLORER YOU FUCKING CHODE. Let me break it down into retard language for you.

If tha trailer bender when rig it loaded into, THE TRAILER IS NOT FUCKING STRONG ENOUGH.

It doesn't matter what it hauled before, or what axles were under it, or what color it used to be, IT'S FUCKING BENDING. Get a clue dude. I can't imagine how much that thing flexes driving down the road :shaking::rolleyes:

You dont even know its back there, its the lightest camper made and weights around 700 lbs or so, all aluminum frame and sideing. In fact the truck rides alot better with it on there. But the best part is that even when its folded down there is enough head room to still sit and 5 can ride in the back easely. Another big pluss is how it sits flush with the back of the bed so a trailer can still be used.

1968 F250, 360 just headers and dual flowmaster (need to make tail pipes yet). In the process of putting a dana 60 up front probably with a detroit, welded rear 60. Also in the process of full highsteer and crossover. 3" body lift, new front springs (oem + 1" longer shackles). Gonna flip the shackle bracket out back to level it out and considering ditching the body lift.

If anyone has converted this era truck to crossover id like to see some pics, seems all i find is the old push pull systems with a new box. Ive got a mid 80s one ton box to mount up to the frame.

2008 Ranger fx4 leather and all the bells and whistles. In dash navi/dvd couple amps and soon two 10s. Considering RCD 5" lift, more likely just 30s and a torsion bar crank. Picking up magnaflow dual exhaust in a couple weeks.

Thought about it but no real reason to its just more body panels to damage. I like the back being open makes it easier to work on. Im gonna trim the front fenders more so I wont have any clearence issues but I have to move the battery and figure out where to move everything on the fenderwells

I believe this is my first post. i seen guys like proeliator and ivans fords and decided that i needed to go ahead and build one of my own. This is my truck i've been working on for the last 2 or 3 years. 79 f250 explorer with 39.5" boggers and bucket seats. its got 3" body and i think 4" suspension lift. nothing too great, but sometime id like to get 10" suspension and crossover steering with hyd. assist. its got the stock d44 and d60's with lockers and 4 wheel disk brakes but they are on the out before i break them. i got the 79 f250 sno fighter parts truck with the HP d60 that will be going in. im on the lookout got a 14 bolt to slap in the rear then both axles will be getting a set of 5.13's and a locker in the rear and limited slip in the front. T-18 4 speed with a np205 case. The engine is a 400(m) thats .040" over with a 219/222 roller cam, CHI 2v heads, edelbrock intake, 725 road demon, stainless rockers, arp studs and other crap, TMI pistons (9.7:1) and headman ceramic coated fenderwell exit hedders, msd pro billet, livewires milodon aluminum water pump, and 351c fox body pan. A bunch of other crap i cant think of.

I take it as real compliment whenever I hear that I've inspired somebody. Funny, Ivan's truck was stock, and then it all went down hill once he met me, funny how that works out :D Your truck looks super clean, and the motor is dead sexy. That combination should fully bring it, good work :smokin:

Went wheeling over the weekend at the Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch for what we call Howiepalooza, an annual event.

Here is a pic of me and my Bronco as we traveled the scenic terrain this park had to offer, as I concealed carried my combat commander inside the waistband with some John Ralston Five Shot Leather.

You really can't see the firearm or holster as it was of course concealed.

Grendal recently helped with my build;

39" Maddogs
ARB bumper NOT made for my vehicle(don't ask)
Warn 12K winch
steering and suspension that actually goes straight and DOESN'T have death wobble, lol

Skids are on the way, I know, I know....
