: My first Poseur flex shots...
Doug K 01-14-2003, 01:06 PM well guys I got it running last night... like a top... what do y'all think of my wristed arm flex? not bad from a set of radius arms huh? Still needs some work, but it's amazing to me that it's now the backend that needs tweaking.
Any advice on suspension tweaking tips? Right now I'm running BC 3.5" front coils, Stock rear leaves, 2" rear blocks (I Really need to kill these and put in F-150 springs or Nationals). Wristed radius arm, rubber rear bushings, and poly c-bushings.

As you can tell from the last picture. I was pretty excited to get the thing going. This is the first time I've had it running well in 2 years.

Heyworth 01-14-2003, 02:41 PM Looks good. What size tires? Where did you get you wristed arm set up? How did the REBELS football team do this year?
Good pics. Now it is time to have some fun huh?
Doug K 01-15-2003, 06:54 AM They're 38.5x14.50 SX's... there's still a little work left to do, but it's almost all together and kicking ass.
As for Lee... LOL...they sucked it up this season. Didn't even make the playoffs... Midland High School (Bulldogs), however went to State finals for the first time in 51 years. It was quite an experience. For those that haven't experienced West Texas High School football...it's pretty amazing.
Any advice from the pics? Or is everybody  at my blatant poseurness :D I got the wristed arm from a guy name Lee Novikoff... it's his old one, from before he built a linked front. Works really well.
Doug
Heyworth 01-15-2003, 07:38 AM Damn, that sucks about Lee, but oh well. I have a cousin that went there a few years back and she was telling me all about Texas football, so being me, I went down there and watched the Panthers from Odessa squeak by the Rebels...great football...almost worth moving to Texas for...lol.
As for the Bronco you are on the right track for sure. I assume you are locked, PS, Disks? Only thing I can see and I know you know this, is your rear leafs. I like Wild Horses 11 pack. In fact I am going to go 4.5" BC in front and 4.5" Wild Horses in rear with 1" body lift to clear the T18. Then do a full size axles swap with hysteer, EFI 302 conv., twin stick, lock em up and wheel my ass off!!!
Doug K 01-15-2003, 08:06 AM yeah I am running a set of 3.5" BC coils and they're TALL... hopefully I'll get them to settle some, but since they're used I doubt it... need to mount a winch, but as soon as I do that I'll take the weight back off by killing my inner fenders.
Doug
IronBenderII 01-15-2003, 09:58 AM Front flex looks pretty good.. I'm sure there is a lot more to be gained there when you find something a bit bigger to go over.
As for the rear, I run 38's and RAN stock leaves with blocks. I bent my rear main leaf last summer and am going with a linked suspension now. I'd either do a shackle flip, the F150's or if you've got the $$, Nationals.

snowman75 01-15-2003, 03:26 PM Hey Doug it looks great! It gives me some incentive to get going on my 69. Do you like the B.C coils? I've only heard good things about them, but I want to know if the ride is nice or not. It looks like they flex just fine! Keep up the good work. Jon
Doug K 01-16-2003, 05:35 AM I haven't had a lot of experience with them, but they are WAY better than my old rancho 3" coils or my Duff's 1.5" coils... They flex great and seem to ride fine...I don't have shocks mounted in front yet, so I've been a little wary of much street driving with a wristed arm.
Doug
jslater 01-16-2003, 01:54 PM 3.5" Nationals. They work very well on mine. I've run 3.5' w/ 2" blocks & 5.5" WH coils. How's the ram assist steering setup work? That may be my next project.
bent70 01-16-2003, 02:09 PM Shackle flip and 150's:D
Cheap and flexes real well. I finally flexed mine up for the first time last week. I'm running 3.5wh coils with pivots and shackle fliped 150's. The flex was very even front and back. Was able to lift any tire 4' off the ground and still be solidly planted. Course the extra width helped:D .
Just make a solid antiwrap bar you'll need it.
Doug K 01-17-2003, 06:22 AM I have a bad ass anti-wrap bar... I'll show it when I get it mounted...
I think I may just go with 3.5" nationals... I am not ready to lengthen my wheelbase with the F-150's yet.
the hydro assist is bad ass... it makes my engine idle down slightly when I get into it good at idle, but it turns the tires like a damn champ...
Doug
jslater 01-17-2003, 08:34 AM Good choice with Nat. springs. If you're curious how they work check out the photos here:Photos (http://photos.yahoo.com/jslater71)
Ram assist and Q-Jet from BCBroncos will be the next projects.
Great job on bringing the EB back from the grave.
bent70 01-17-2003, 08:47 AM The 150's don't really add any wheelbase unless you flip them. You should get an extra inch, which actually centers the tires in the wheelwell, well at least in my case.:D
Heyworth 01-17-2003, 09:08 AM jslater...what kind of rear springs are you running??
jslater 01-17-2003, 09:15 AM Heyworth: 3.5", 11 leaf, Nationals & 2" blocks
Doug K 01-17-2003, 09:17 AM where's the best place to get the 3.5" Nationals... your EB flexes plenty for me... BTW are you running a body lift? I'm going to need to do MUCH more trimming if I'm going to run 38.5 with that much flex in back... the inners will need to dissappear.
Doug
jslater 01-17-2003, 09:32 AM Try JBG (http://www.broncograveyard.com) orBCBroncos (http://www.bcbroncos.com).
I installed 2" wheel spacers in back (1.5" spacers in front) because of the rubbing problem. I do have a 2" body lift.
Doug K 01-17-2003, 10:38 AM I'm not going to run that much wheel spacer... I want 1.5" spacers up front... but I'll cut out my rear inners before I install 2" spacers in the rear...
I'm running a 3" body lift... so I'm hoping with bump stops and tubbed inners i'll be cool...
