Eric,

Hey whats up. I have anouther one of my crazy ideas, I thought I would run it by ya to see what ya think (one of these days I'll come up with a good idea)

We have a four wheel drive forklift at work that has four wheel steering not unlike the Bronco. The nice thing about it is that it has three different steering modes :regular, the front wheels steer, Crab walk, or Cooardinated whereas the wheels both work together to give you an exra tight steering radias, and to control the three modes you just flip a three way toggle switch and it will steer that way....
I thought that it would be a nice system to put into a rig because instead of having to use one hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the hydralic valve for the rear steering you just flip the switch and drive on whichever mode you need. It would seem to me that it would allow you to concentrate more on the trail than on the controls and may be faster since it would also seem to take less time to figure out where you want your rear wheels to be(it may be nice for your A.R.C.A times since they are incredibly short as is).

I don't know how the system on the forklift actually works, if it runs through a computer or anything, and would probably be way expensive to set up but some people have money than they know what to do with.

I am trying to figure out some way to get my Sammie out of there...I can get one up here for dirt cheep $400 or less, but the body is in bad shape, and since last I saw mine was o.k. it may be a good way to get a cheap 4x4. At least the new one would be complete and running so I should be alright. Just swap the tub.

Anyhow, i'll figure out something...next time I'm down there I'll bring a case or three of beast for ya, I owe ya.
