Got a question for ya....
How does a guy go about selling a revolver these days , especially if it's a collector's piece ? With all the changing laws and anti-gun attitudes, how does a guy advertise and get fair market value for somthing like this ?
There are actually newspapers that won't allow ads for pistols. Can't sell it on Ebay, and there's like only one gun shop within a hundred miles of where I live.
I've got a 1959 3-screw flat top Ruger .44 mag single action revolver that was one of the first 44s Ruger ever built. It was a transition model, with the light frame. More of a collectors piece than a shooter. Ruger only built them for a couple years then they went to the "New Model Blackhawk ".
These carry a value as high as $800 in original mint condition. I figure mines worth about $450 and I'd like to sell it so I can replace it with a Springfield Mil Spec model 1911 .45.
Any good ideas ?
