A few months ago I saw an article somewhere, not sure if it was this site or another, on how to rebuild a HP Dana 60. I tried a seach here but didn't come up with much. Does anyone know where a good online article is for rebuilding and regearing a '79 HP 60??

If you are close to Grandville come on over and I will show you. Expect to pay big money for lockers, gears, brakes, lockouts, hubs, basically everything is beef so everything is $$$$. What all do you intend to rebuild on it?

Hey, thanks for the reponse!! Nice to see some locals on the boards. I live a little west of Sand Lake. I don;t really need to rebuild it basically just want to regear it. When I bought it it was totally redone, new bearings all the way around, new outer u-joints, new kingpins, new hubs etc.. but it just has lousy 3.42 gears. I am thinking of going to 5.13 with a Detroit. Never really had an axle apart before except replacing outer u-joints on a 44. Can't really afford to pay someone $400 to put the stuff in for me, plus it doesn't sound real hard just time consuming and tedious. I'd be interested in hooking up if you don't mind tutoring me. I'll buy the beer!!
