how do you flip the stock tie-rod on a d44? i just looked at a site describing it, but all they said was they remed out the factory hole..............i can drill it out, but what bout the tapper of the rod ends??

You will need to purchase a tapered reamer for the TRE to fit properly. Day Motorsports and Speedway Motors both carry them and they cost about $60 - $70. Don't drill the holes, just ream the taper and flip the tie rod on top of the knuckles and you will net approx. 2.5" more clearance.
If you have dual front shocks you will need to eliminate the front shocks and cut or grind off the ears on the end of the radius arm.

I got a tapered drill bit from Wild Horses 4x4. They also sell the tappered sleeves to put in the holes when your finished so you can use the tie-rod ends. (When you drill them out from the top, they get a little on the big side.)
