Well, the weathermen were partially right for a change. Snow started falling around 2:00am EST and it's still snowing out. However, their initial 1-3" was pretty far off, since we have just about 6" now.

The eastern coast of NC is going to get hammered with 10-14". :D

However, I'm at work...but I'm probably going home early today. :D

Well he was pretty close for the Raleigh area.

We only got about 2" so far, so I think he will be right on the money for once.

And yes I am at work also. :(

I bet you can't guess where I'm going tomorrow at noon...yup, Cape Hatteras. This is the chance of a lifetime. Just imagine 4-wheeling down the beach in 10-14" of snow, with the ocean right beside your rig. And yeah, some of the folks I'm meeting up wtih have cameras. My only worry is those damn long ass bridges you have to run to get on the island...might just take the ferry instead. ;) Holy chit this is gunna be an odd trip.

What's all the fuss about?

Yeah, that's what I'm screaming. It hardly EVER snows there because of the warmth of the ocean raising air temps. It's going to be reallllly strange out there...if I can even get on the island that is. Like I said, I may be better off to go the long way and take the 3 hour ferry.

EDIT: Because this NEVER, EVER happens, counties in easter NC do not even own sand/salt/scraper trucks. Man, this is giing to be fun. ;)

Yeah, our weather's been "upside-down". It's actually been warmer (and sunny) at 9,000 feet, than down here in Denver.

The drive to work is like the "descent into hell".

This happens several times every winter, when the front slides down the Front Range from the north.

Hey Rip - you got tires on your rig that can HANDLE the snow?

My prediction is the national news is going to be quite humorous tonight.

You southern fawkers come apart at the seams when water does that amazing trick of turning solid and falling from the sky.

heh. heh.
If the southe ever does "Rise Again", all well (the north) have to do is bust out all the snow making gear from every ski area around here and F-you-up.

LOL Taco...I went to college in upstate NY so I know all about snow. :p As for skiing, the one and only time I went was back on 1/1/98 and it was 60 degrees out. :( I was skiing on slush by lunch time. hehehehe....

Ahhhh, yesssss, I can just hear the water pipes splitting and spraying now. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I'm happy that I don't have to deal with that anymore.

I was in Norfolk once when they got a couple of inches of snow. Funniest thing I ever saw . . . the place looked like a friggin destruction derby.

You got our damn snow we want it back, I take that back, it's been way too nice around here lately:D . Terrible for ski resorts, good for people who are cold blooded.

Bobzooki, is there snow in the valley that you drive into? I know it would be the same (freezin' ass) hell here if there were snow on the ground.
